Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) Programme at CMS
The Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) Programme connects experienced industrial scientists and entrepreneurs with UK universities to foster innovation, collaboration, and the practical application of research.
At the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS), the EiR will dedicate one day a week to engaging with staff and students through expert-led projects. These sessions aim to expose participants to industrial R&D, offer tailored advice, and bridge the gap between academic research and industry-driven solutions.
As part of the programme, CMS will host an 8-hour lecture series covering key areas of entrepreneurship, with a special focus on applications relevant to mathematicians. The lecture series will explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, from idea generation to navigating the Cambridge innovation ecosystem.
