The wider NIAB site also offers research glasshouses, protected growing spaces, and extensive experimental plots.

Alongside physical infrastructure, Barn4 connects companies with NIAB’s crop science expertise and wider sector networks, helping founders navigate the technical and commercial challenges of agriculture and food systems.

As part of a globally recognised agritech cluster, Barn4 brings together startups, researchers, and industry partners, creating a collaborative ecosystem for companies working across areas such as plant science, sustainability, AI, and farm technology.
