EnterpriseTECH

About the EnterpriseTECH Experience

EnterpriseTECH is a 10-week entrepreneurship programme designed for STEM researchers and professionals who want to understand how research translates into real-world ventures.

The programme combines a structured lecture series with hands-on project work, giving you practical exposure to the startup and commercialisation journey. You will build skills in entrepreneurship, problem solving, market understanding, and value creation while working in multidisciplinary teams on real early-stage technologies.

Designed for those new to business-focused learning, EnterpriseTECH provides an accessible entry point without requiring a full Master’s degree or MBA. It is well suited to participants with existing work commitments and no prior business background.

The experience focuses on helping you develop the confidence and capability to take ideas forward. Through workshops, supervisions, and applied team projects, you will strengthen your problem solving, work across disciplines, and gain experience tackling real innovation challenges.

Alongside the core programme, you will join a wider entrepreneurial community of students, researchers, inventors, and professionals. This network supports continued learning, collaboration, and engagement beyond the programme itself.

EnterpriseTECH runs twice each academic year, with up to 60 places per cohort. Entry is by application and interview. The programme is open to graduate students, PhD researchers, and postdocs from Cambridge and other UK and international universities, as well as University staff, NHS medics, and industry professionals.
