The Canopy is a community of impact‑led startups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses accelerating solutions to global sustainability challenges.
Part of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), it provides workspace, support, and access to networks to help members collaborate, connect, and grow. The community brings together founders, academics, corporates, and investors to support innovation and partnership.
Based in central Cambridge, the Canopy is housed in the Entopia Building, an exemplar of sustainable retrofit. The space offers flexible workspace, meeting rooms, event space, and collaborative areas designed for productivity and wellbeing.
Membership is open to organisations across the sustainability spectrum, from early‑stage ventures to established businesses and independent consultants. Members benefit from events, mentoring, peer learning, and access to CISL’s wider global network and accelerator programmes, with flexible options including full‑time, part‑time, and virtual access.
