The Lee-Yung Family Fund for Entrepreneurship provides early-stage funding to help Trinity Hall students, researchers, and recent alumni develop entrepreneurial ideas into practical products, services, and ventures.
Delivered through the Trinity Hall Entrepreneurs Network (THEN), the fund supports individuals and teams who need resources to take the next step in developing an idea. Funding can be used for a wide range of activities, including learning new skills, accessing makerspaces, undertaking market research, building prototypes, purchasing materials, developing software, or obtaining specialist advice.
Each year, funding is distributed across a small cohort of promising projects, with recipients receiving financial support to test and develop their ideas. Successful applicants are expected to share progress updates throughout the year, and an additional award is made to the project demonstrating the greatest potential for future development and impact.
The fund is open to applicants from all disciplines and sectors, reflecting Trinity Hall’s aim of encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation, and problem-solving across its community. By providing accessible, flexible funding at a very early stage, the programme helps bridge the gap between having an idea and taking practical action.
