Bringing together collaborators from civil society, academia, government and business
Centre for Global Equality
CGE evolves innovative solutions to challenges in sustainable development, particularly those relating to food, water, energy, health, work and the environment. Through our inclusive innovation approach, we mobilise science and technology for the benefit of people who live on less than $4 a day, without harming the environment or the interests of future generations.
Bringing together collaborators from civil society, academia, government and business we enable the cocreation of solutions with the people they are intended to benefit.
Our teaching and research collaborations across the University are conducted from the Cambridge Centre for Inclusive Innovation at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CEB).
Extracurricular innovation activities are run from our Inclusive Innovation Hub in central Cambridge where our Cultivator programme provides longer, more cyclical support for social enterprise startups than standard incubators.
We also collaborate with i-Teams (IfM) to deliver Development i-Teams where students and postdocs teams explore how research can contribute to sustainable development
