Experiencing Entrepreneurship Award by Trinity Hall Entrepreneurship Network (THEN)

Experiencing Entrepreneurship Award

The Experiencing Entrepreneurship Award provides funding to help Trinity Hall students, researchers, and recent alumni gain first-hand experience of entrepreneurship through internships, training programmes, competitions, and other entrepreneurial activities.

Rather than funding the creation of a new venture directly, the award focuses on helping individuals develop entrepreneurial skills, expand their networks, and learn from established founders, startups, and innovation ecosystems. Funding can be used to support activities such as undertaking an internship with a startup, attending entrepreneurship programmes or hackathons, accessing specialist training, or travelling to participate in entrepreneurial projects and initiatives.

The award is intended to remove financial barriers that might otherwise prevent members of the Trinity Hall community from pursuing valuable entrepreneurial experiences. Previous recipients have used funding to work with startups internationally, participate in social enterprise projects, attend innovation programmes, and develop practical skills that have supported their future entrepreneurial careers.

With flexible, year-round applications and awards assessed on a case-by-case basis, the scheme provides an accessible route for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore entrepreneurship before launching their own ventures.
