Postdoc Academy (PdA) A central support hub helping Cambridge postdocs develop their careers and community
The Postdoc Academy is the central organisation at the University of Cambridge dedicated to supporting postdoctoral researchers across all disciplines.
It provides a broad range of support designed to help postdocs succeed during their research roles and prepare for future career pathways. Its work is structured around four core areas: information, community, advocacy, and professional development, ensuring postdocs have access to resources, networks, and opportunities throughout their time at Cambridge.
The Academy offers practical support through training programmes, mentoring, and curated resources, alongside regular events and communications that help postdocs stay informed and engaged. It also plays an important role in representing the postdoc community within the University, gathering feedback and contributing to policy and decision-making.
In addition, the Postdoc Academy provides dedicated physical spaces across Cambridge, including three Postdoc Centres that offer free hot‑desking, meeting spaces, and venues for networking and professional development events.
